Protein Peanut Butter - SNACLite Power PB

This is a review for SNAClite Power PB, a natural peanut butter sold at GNC which is higher in protein, omega-3, and fiber than the leading brands. It has a unique, rich flavor with flax seeds, and it is very spreadable. Each four tablespoon serving contains 24 grams of protein.

SNACLite Power PB is a nutritious, natural peanut butter rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and fiber.  This low carbohydrate treat is perfect for bodybuilders as well as anyone looking to increase their size and strength.  SNAClite Power PB packs 24 grams of protein per four tablespoon serving.  Out of the 19 grams of fat it contains, 10 grams consist of flax seed oil with Omega-3 fats.  There are only two grams of saturated fat per serving.  Since it is a natural product, there are no hydrogenated oils unlike many of the brands you are familiar with.  SNAClite Power PB has no cholesterol and it only has 12 grams of carbohydrates.

I usually put SNAClite Power PB on whole grain bread, accompanied by an eight ounce glass of skim milk.  That snack combination will fill me up.  It may taste different than the peanut butter you are accustomed to.  However, from personal experience and the reviews on the GNC site, where you can buy SNAClite Power PB, the taste is still great.  It also can be a great compliment for a blended chocolate protein shake.

There are a few aspects of this product you may find negative.  SNAClite Power PB is on the pricey side.  It costs $7.99 per container.  The serving size is four tablespoons, while the typical serving size for peanut butter is two tablespoons.  You would have to eat a larger portion of peanut butter to consume 24 grams of protein; however, the protein total with two tablespoons would be 12 grams, which is still more than you would get with the leading brands.  In addition to the 19 grams of fat and the 315 calories it contains, if you split the totals in half for a two tablespoon serving, the amount of fat and calories will be lower than most leading peanut butter brands.  With two tablespoons of SNAClite Power PB, you would only be consuming 157.5 calories and 9.5 grams of fat.  This product would not be recommended as a weight loss food supplement.  However, you could use it to maintain your weight or make gains with proper exercise, as long as you do not go overboard with the amount of SNAClite Power PB you consume in one sitting.

SNAClite Power PB is a perishable item, so refrigeration is highly recommended.  If you have the budget, then I recommend incorporating it into your diet all the time as long as you are not allergic to peanuts or gluten.  If you do not have the budget, then I would stick with protein powder to help increase your size or I would recommend consuming SNAClite Power PB sparingly.  It can make a little bit of a mess, but it is easily spreadable.  I can see this product increasing in popularity, especially if the price is lowered to maybe $5.99 per container.

I don't think that I have ever seen this peanut butter on the shelves of any of the stores where I shop. Good review of the product.

Good review, I think people should leave a good thing alone..voted

Thanks, it's very hard to find.  I've only ever seen it at GNC.

Nice job, Matthew -- tweeted.
